So how is the future looking..

1. We gave a lot of our data to social media. Analysis of that data was hand written algorithms. Now that we have machine learning sort of sorted, our data will be handed to it. So the analysis of our tracking data will be far more efficient and accurate.

2. AI is being incorporated into Microsoft at the Operating System level, and they tried to get a bit that says 'we'l take a screen shot every few seconds constantly, and we'll analyse that with a segmentation model and store what we find in an unsecured SQL database on your machine so that it is plain text'. That's not creepy at all.

3. AI is now at the top of Instagram. Meta AI. And we know how much we can trust Facebook/Meta with our data. The Zuck is more than happy to scrape every poofteenth of our attention.

4. Speaking of attention. They don't want our attention, they want the ability to influence our behaviour to purchase because advertisers don't want to pay for ads that do nothing, they want to pay for ads that turn into sales.

5. Meanwhile AI and robotics have a good chance of being able to replace pretty much every job. Hard to run an economy when the only things making money are the robots. My feeling is we'll end up with a robot economy with some humes in there who are obscenely rich, and outside of that will be the rest of us in slum mode. No job. No proper income. In the USA, no medical care. Black markets form. People do their best to survive. The wealthy won't like the look of the unwashed masses and wango, for security of course, a wall will go up.

Sounds very dystopian and I'm not done.

6. Tons of people will tune out of reality and spend their time in VR.

7. Lots and lots of surveillance drones, cameras and what not will be everywhere on every device. Every self drive car, every delivery robot, every phone, every tv, every one's glasses or earpods will have cameras. And those will all interpret their data and phone home to the servers. No one will be able to do anything without being seen.

This will be in the interest of public safety, but the reality is, it will be public control.

And robots will walk down the street patrolling.

It will be Robocop, but without officer Murphy keeping the machine under control.
