I totally agree re trusting FSD in a Tesla.

Elon has proven himself to be someone who professes truths that are not true. His ego and a desire for better stock prices I guess drive him to exaggerate at every turn.

There will be fully autonomous cars one day, but I suspect it will only happen when the cars all communicate with each other and cooperate to drive a bit like bees cooperate to keep a hive functioning.

I guess we'll see. My life in computers started in the 70's so I too have seen a revolutions that didn't revolute. I think this time though, LLM's and agentic computing are an actual significant change and society will be very very different in the next ten years.
